Overview

Nursebuddy’s mission is to reinvent home care through smart, innovative technology. Our integrated home care platform helps care companies operate more efficiently and provide a higher quality care experience. This allows people to stay in their home for longer, maintaining their independence and dignity while receiving care.

During the next 12 months, we are looking to grow our market share in our main market, the UK.

We beat our international competition by being a more user-focused, simple but effective software solution that has a special focus on care worker wellbeing. Good and bad humour is a very important part of our everyday work. We take our work seriously but we don’t take ourselves seriously.

We are looking for a Senior developer and Team Lead to help grow and develop our software development team in Tampere. This will be a player-coach role. 

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead by example: write simple and effective code

  • Constantly improve our software development practices

  • Support with the recruitment of team members when required

  • Conduct Performance Appraisals when required and supporting with talent and succession planning

  • Collaborate with teams across Nursebuddy to build and maintain a phenomenal customer experience for all Nursebuddy customers

Requirement and skills

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have 5+ years experience in software development, frontend or full stack.

  • Be passionate about supporting and mentoring our development team, helping with personal growth and fostering good team practices.

  • Be an authentic leader who creates an environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves and doing their best work.

  • Communicate well, clearly sharing ideas and actively listening to others.

  • Appreciate the value of diverse perspectives and backgrounds as essential for a high-performing team.

  • Be excited to work in our cosy Tampere office at least 1 day a week!

Get to know your future team at Nursebuddy

You will join a team of 8 developers with a varied experience in either frontend, backend or full-stack development. People tend to enjoy their time at Nursebuddy, so many team members have been with us for several years and know the product inside out. We also have people who have just started their career in software development.

You will also work closely with our Product Owner and other function leads, customer success specifically.
