What are the biggest factors that have helped your business grow to be such a success?

"Establishing sustainable relationships with the communities and local authorities in which we operate is key to fostering positive and trusting interactions.

With staffing an industry-wide challenge, what strategies do you use to retain carers?

"We are dedicated to ensuring our staff receive good pay for their work, accompanied by an array of valuable benefits. These include bonuses, complimentary uniforms, staff discounts, contracted hours, a mileage reimbursement of 45p per mile, complimentary wellbeing programs, staff events, and enhanced annual training.

"We prioritise effective communication through regular supervisions, supervision requests, and team meetings. By attentively listening to our staff and continuously enhancing their working environments, we successfully retain and attract talented individuals."

What's one piece of advice you would give to someone starting a homecare business?

"Build trusting relationships with the communities you work in and communicate effectively with staff, service users, family members and other professionals. The family portal within Nursebuddy has been a great tool in allowing us to do this."

How has changing to Nursebuddy helped your home care business?

“Nursebuddy is easy, useful and meets our needs as a fastgrowing care provider in Wales. It’s a great service!

"We were using previously CarePlanner which is very expensive and lacks some of the key features that Nursebuddy has.

"The family portal is a great tool to ensure effective communication with service users and family members. It removes the barrier of distance when family members don't live nearby."

What is the one Nursebuddy feature that you really can’t live without?

"The family portal is an invaluable tool that enhances communication with service users and their families, effectively bridging the gap created by geographical distance.

"Previously, we utilised CarePlanner, which proved to be costly and lacked several essential features. In contrast, Nursebuddy offers a more cost-effective solution with comprehensive functionalities."
