Devoted Homecare is a domiciliary homecare provider based in Ashford, Kent. Nursebuddy customers since September 2020, we chose them as our Customer of the Month in May 2024 thanks to their support with trialling a new note-taking feature in our mobile app, where both carers on a joint visit can record notes. Their feedback was invaluable!

What are the biggest factors that have helped your business grow to be such a success?

“Feedback from clients, providing high quality care, advertising, looking after and appreciating our staff.”

With staffing an industry-wide challenge, what strategies do you use to retain carers?

“We run a rewards chart for our carers. They receive points for certain things and, when they hit a milestone, they get a prize. We also celebrate their birthdays and they get a gift voucher.

“We offer monthly one to ones with our staff also which gives them a chance to bring up any concerns etc.”

What's one piece of advice you would give to someone starting a homecare business?

“Be mindful of all the background work that goes into this industry. Homecare is not a 9-5 job, it is 24/7 as we deal with vulnerable clients who need support at all times of the day.

How has changing to Nursebuddy helped your home care business?

“When I started Devoted Homecare, I did a lot of research on different software and Nursebuddy was the best fit for us.

“Nursebuddy has helped us grow by being flexible with their software and listening to us when we provide feedback.

"The change log is a life saver as we can see who created, moved or cancelled a visit.”
