Cynefin Care is a great example of innovation and dedication in the homecare sector, and so we’re thrilled to honour them as our Customer of the Year 2024!

Founders Caroline and Katherine set-up Cynefin Care in order to do things differently, having worked in the corporate care world for many years.  They started to use Nursebuddy from the beginning of their journey, initially managing 500 care hours. Through tireless effort and dedication, they grew to 5,000 care hours and eventually to an outstanding 15,000. A key milestone in their success was winning a local authority contract after 6 months of determined work.

Their growth isn't just about numbers - it’s about people.

They understand that the heart of a great care company is its people and the way to deliver great care is to value and support those people. As part of this approach, Cynefin Care has embraced Nursebuddy’s Carer Wellbeing Survey as a cornerstone of their operational strategy, using it to listen to their frontline staff and ensure a thriving workplace environment.

The results speak for themselves: with an impressive carer retention rate of 90.7%, Cynefin Care is committed to prioritising carer wellbeing. Their proactive approach involves regularly tracking carer satisfaction, identifying trends, and addressing any issues directly - ensuring their team feels valued, heard, and supported. This culture of care doesn’t just benefit their employees; it strengthens the services they provide to clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality care delivery.

Happy, motivated carers are essential to delivering exceptional client outcomes. By focusing on anonymous feedback, they’ve created an open, honest dialogue that fosters continuous improvement. Whether it’s addressing workload concerns, offering recognition, or implementing practical changes, Cynefin Care demonstrates a unique ability to turn feedback into actionable results.

Their contributions extend beyond their organisation as they are active members of the Nursebuddy’s community, sharing their experience and expertise in webinars and open office hours to help others in the homecare industry.
