Marketing Lead

Overview

Nursebuddy’s integrated home care platform helps care companies operate more efficiently and provide a higher quality care experience. This allows people to stay in their home for longer, maintaining their independence and dignity while receiving care.

We’re a distributed international team of 16 based in Dublin, London, and Tampere, Finland who are passionate about what we do and the problem we’re solving. During the next 12 months, we’re looking to grow our market share in our main markets (especially the UK) and expand to new European markets.

It’s an exciting time, and to help us, we’re on the lookout for an ambitious, experienced B2B SaaS marketer to join the team.

About You

You will be our first Marketing Lead. So if you’re someone who relishes autonomy, then being first on the ground will give you an exceptional opportunity to shape your role and make a real impact fast.

As a result, you’ll need the confidence and experience to drive your own agenda and work – knowing what matters and what will actually shift the needle, not just what the theory says. Being first in post also means you’ll need to establish strong relationships with colleagues, and possess the resilience to drive the change necessary to make marketing (and the business)  successful.

You’ll need to know how to measure marketing impact, and be able to really dig into it to better understand channel performance and points of conversion across the customer journey. You’ll also need to be creative and entrepreneurial, finding new and better ways to engage leads and customers. It’s helpful if you understand Agile, and take an experimental approach to marketing – able to test, learn and adapt tactics fast to see what really works.

The role is very hands-on, so be prepared to roll up your sleeves. Although this position doesn’t currently involve line management, as we grow so will opportunities to grow a team.

Priorities

As our Marketing Lead, you’ll be busy:

  • Ensuring Nursebuddy stands out with a differentiated proposition and strong, compelling brand in the UK, helping us stimulate future demand in new European markets.
  • Working closely with our CEO to develop our growth strategy.
  • Collaborating with our Sales Lead and Head of Customer Success to develop a smooth, cohesive view of the customer journey and lead generation processes.
  • Ideating, testing and scaling integrated campaigns to support lead generation and nurturing, evaluating different tactics and channels to determine what works best for more predictable, scalable growth.
  • Developing our marketing strategy and operations, creating the engine for growth.
  • Hiring and managing external marketing partners and freelancers as needed to help you successfully drive work forward.

You will be supported in your work by our experienced fractional CMO, who works on a part-time basis as an advisor and support to the business. This gives you a senior marketing executive to bounce ideas off, and who can readily help you when you hit an obstacle.

Essential Skills

To succeed and thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in B2B SaaS marketing, gained in fast-paced startup environments, with experience of the home care sector or marketing to SMBs.
  • A deeply customer-centric mindset, working hard to understand what matters most to customers and how to add value to them at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Knowledge and some experience of product marketing – from implementing a go-to-market plan to positioning and preparing communications for regular product releases.
  • Evidence of creating and scaling demand generation processes from an early stage, working with other functions (sales and customer success) to create an integrated view of the customer.
  • A strong background in digital marketing across owned channels, including email marketing and organic SEO.
  • Good understanding of performance marketing across paid channels, including paid search and social media ads.
  • A creative thinker, able to deliver high quality content and sales enablement materials and campaigns with agency/freelance support.
  • Excellent written English and a good graphic design eye – that means you should be able to write compelling, persuasive content yourself and edit the work of others. And while you are not expected to be a designer, you should be able to give clear feedback to designers, spot when a logo is misaligned, and know your HEX values from your CMYK.
  • A highly collaborative approach, working with other teams, senior management and third parties successfully – managing ‘up’ when required.
  • A high level of digital and IT literacy, with experience of using a wide range of marketing tech and software from automation platforms (e.g. Hubspot) and CRM systems (e.g. Pipedrive) to design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma).
