Marketing Lead / Head of Marketing

Nursebuddy is the next generation home care SaaS to help care companies provide high-quality home care. Our technology presents a unique solution to support people maintaining their independence and staying in their own home to receive care.

We’re a distributed team of 16 people based in Dublin, London, and Tampere, Finland. During the next 12 months, we’re looking to grow our market share in our main markets (esp. the UK) and expand to new European markets. We will raise VC funding to accelerate our expansion.

We’re now looking for a customer-driven marketer to drive our business growth. Depending on your previous performance and experience, your title can be e.g. Marketing Manager, Marketing Lead, or Head of Marketing.

What are your main goals and responsibilities?

  • You’ll be working together with our CEO to develop our growth strategy and with our Sales Lead to work on sales & marketing alignment, as well as Customer Success and Product teams.
  • Your main goals include helping NurseBuddy stand out in the UK to capture demand, and creating demand and raising awareness in new European markets.
  • We’d like to see you proactively test new lead acquisition channels and tactics and optimise the best ones for predictable lead acquisition
  • We expect you to take ownership of developing our marketing strategy, processes, and operations in alignment with sales needs (with the help of the rest of the team)
  • Managing up and helping the company leadership to define the best growth opportunities for the company
  • Hiring and managing external marketing partners and freelancers as needed
  • Since we’re still a relatively fresh startup, most of your work will be hands-on work or managing contractors. However, when you help us grow, there is always an opportunity to hire more team members.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • You might have e.g. 2-4 years of experience in growing a B2B SaaS business, working in the caregiving sector, and/or developing marketing processes in a startup.
  • Ideally, you have demonstrated experience in growing a B2B business with a fairly low-touch sales model or focus on the SMB sector.
  • You have a fluent spoken and written English (no need to be flawless)
  • You’re a self-starter – You don’t expect anyone to tell you what you should be focusing on
  • You know your way around positioning, messaging and product marketing, and know how to make your company stand out in the crowded markets
  • You have a good understanding of how B2B SaaS businesses can grow with marketing
  • You have the willingness and ability to turn customer data (both qualitative like web analytics and quantitative like customer interviews) into insights that will helps the whole team prioritise marketing and other efforts
  • You’re not afraid to ruthlessly prioritise marketing efforts based on the expected impact – also beyond the most obvious digital marketing channels – to get the best possible ROI from our customer acquisition channels (currently, most of our leads are coming from Facebook ads, Google search ads, and outbound sales)
  • You have the communication skills needed to get the rest of the company on board and to support your growth initiatives

Ideally, you’re a generalist with hands-on experience and interest in two or more of the following areas – the rest can be learned or outsourced:

  • Sales/marketing alignment
  • Content marketing
  • Performance marketing (esp. Facebook ads and Google ads)
  • Marketing operations (marketing automation, web analytics, etc.)
  • Conversion rate optimization for better website UX
  • Content SEO

What will we bring to the table?

  • Fully remote work culture and flexible hours in an impact startup where you can really make a difference in the society.
  • An informal work environment with flat organisational structure
  • Competitive compensation. Depending on your previous performance and experience, the salary range for the job is £42,000 to £60,000. Depending on your seniority, we can also offer stock options in a growing company.
  • Up to 25 days of paid holidays a year and at least 10 in your first year before accrued holidays, depending on the country of residence.
  • Laptop and phone of your choice
