Health Plus Care 2017 – A look back from NurseBuddy Care Software

Health Plus Care 2017 – NurseBuddy Care Software

Last week, NurseBuddy Care Software were proud to be a part of Health Plus Care 2017, at the ExCeL, London. Over 6000 delegates across two days attended the event, looking for the latest technology, equipment, strategies and solutions, and how these can improve how care is distributed and managed in the United Kingdom. Our sales and marketing team were on hand, giving live demonstrations of the software, and wearing some pretty amazing t shirts!

Exhibiting at The Home Care Theatre

We were lucky enough to engage with a large number of care providers at the event. We were positioned just outside the Home Care Theatre, and attracted attention from many key speakers and experts in the field of home care. Sarah King and Bridget Warr from the UKHCA dropped by our stand, members of the TSA visited us, and there was a great atmosphere amongst our exhibitor neighbours from Good Looking Software, Insequia and Reynolds Foods.

Some great talks were given, some of which we were able to attend when we were not overly swamped at our stand. Neil Eastwood spoke about retention and recruitment of carers today and how we can improve our processes; Peter Daly about employment laws for carers; and Alan Long of Mears about how there needs to be significant improvements in the home care system. Everyone involved in the event is there to try to make improvements in the lives of everyone involved in home care, and its great to see such enthusiam being matched with good attendance of delegates to talks like these; it puts everyone in a positive frame of mind to tackle the real issues that exist in home care.

Visiting other stands at Health Plus Care

Walking around the exhibition is a wonderful way to see the progress that has been made in home care. Solutions for activities like carer training, client monitoring, etc, help fix further issues that can affect a home care agency. We got to visit a lot of other software companies that are trying to make changes in care, whether it be for nursing homes, monitoring, or medical and pharmaceutical needs.

Health Plus Care 2017 – What did we learn?

We also learned that we are really doing something special at NurseBuddy; addressing the stresses that care managers, carers, and clients and their family experience in every day home care. Clients want to stay in their own homes, not move to nursing homes, for as long as possible. Being able to provide a solution that can help achieve this by making the communication and experience as easy as possible, makes us very proud. We also learned that everyone needs a free car charger to keep their smartphones charged for whenever they need it!

NurseBuddy Care Software’s next event

Our next big event is the UKHCA Forum (London) in September, followed by the Care and Dementia Show (Birmingham) in October. If we did not get to see you at Health Plus Care, we hope to be able to see you at one of these other events! In the mean time, if you are looking for any help in managing home care, contact us or schedule an online demonstration of NurseBuddy Care Software.
