We’re getting ready to celebrate St. Patricks Day 2017 at both our Dublin office and Finland office! We hope everyone has a fun-filled and safe St. Patricks Day from all of us here at NurseBuddy! Celebrations that will be held across the world usually include parades, parties and festivals, and usually a lot of people dressed up in green clothes and wear shamrocks.
Check out your local parade on St. Patricks Day
St. Patricks Day is an important holiday for the Irish and all Irish descendants. Take a trip to go and see the local parade, and get out of the house for a few hours (weather permitting of course!). Many parades across the world have special access areas for disabled or elderly people to use to get a great view, and a great day out. The biggest parade in Britain is held in Birmingham and it’s the third biggest in the world after Dublin and New York, but theres nothing like the local charm of a small village or town parade to really make the feeling of the Emerald Isle come to life!
Take a trip in an old fashioned car
A big thing in Ireland’s parades are the old fashioned cars; decades old cars are shined up to be front and centre of the local and city parades. Some parades give rides to locals for a few hours, so ask around; its a great memory to make on the day!
A lot of parties go on around towns and cities, with street performers appearing in their dozens. Check out some local talents and engage more with the community!
